Hotel Accommodation
There are a number of hotels in the area, within walking distance of the Carnegie Observatories
headquarters. Carnegie Observatories has a contract for a reduced rate with the Pasadena Sheraton
hotel, on Cordova Street, and a block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton for the GWP80 conference.
The Sheraton offers a shuttle bus service that can take you between Carnegie and the hotel.

Alternatively, the
Westin Pasadena, hotel on
Los Robles Avenue is at least $195 per night, plus tax and tourism fee, and is
within walking distance to Carnegie Observatories, but closer than the Sheraton;
the Westin also offers a shuttle service.

For people with restricted budgets the
Vagabond Inn Hotel,
on Colorado street is an option, although it is 1.2 miles from the Carnegie Observatories
(a 20 minute walk), and it does not offer shuttle service. Their cheapest rooms are
$80 per night plus taxes, etc.
